Abdi built a fantastic business simply off of fixing other people's solar installations.
Whether that be systems that just required regular maintenance having been installed for many years, or people who had taken on systems from an existing homeowner and couldn't find the installer that installed it (or they didn't exist anymore).
He had tried Meta Ads to generate his own work in the past.
The classic, price ads, package deals etc.
It wasn't really him.
He wanted to lead with premium products and a premium installation that didn't need fixing later down the line.
After deliberating about signing up with us for what felt like years, Abdi finally hit the green button and went for it.
There is a funny story around how he decided how much ad spend he wanted to start with.
I said to him, most of our clients start on £2.5k/mo to £5k/mo ad spend on the higher end, of course we can scale it as soon as you have got a feel for the quality etc.
To which he said…
"What are AJ Renewables spending?"
For context, AJ Renewables are one of our most successful clients but they have a full sales team, really slick operations and have been doing multiple 6 figures per month from us for several months.
Abdi had none of this.
I responded…
"£7,500 per month."
Abdi said…
"Cool, lets do that."
When we launched, it wasn't a slight difference.
Abdi said it felt like we had sent a tsunami his way. His business quite frankly just wasn't ready for the combination of the quality and volume of leads we were able to generate.
Almost immediately he was booked for a full week with enquiries that were all for large systems and Tesla Powerwall 3s.
We had to tone back the ad spend within just a few weeks because quite frankly it was just too much, but as Abdi rode the wave and worked like a dog, the results came flying through.
Inside of month 1 he had made more than he had ever made advertising on Meta, in TOTAL.
