Why does every decision maker need to be on the call?
Misaligned expectations sink campaigns before they start.

Video transcript
Why do we need all decision makers to be present on the call? It is not because we want you to make a decision on the first call. That is the last thing we want. We'd much rather you take your time and make an informed decision on working with us. However, it is very, very beneficial for everyone that is going to be involved in the decision to have the full context and to hear it from myself, rather than for someone to come to the court and try to pass that context on.
They may do a very good job, but they're not going to hear it exactly the same way. And then we get into all sorts of situations where expectations aren't aligned, where we have buy in from one team member but not another, and therefore the campaign falls down because we, you know, a great example is salespeople, sales managers, sales directors.
We have to get buy in from a sales director because many sales directors have already managed teams that have dealt with Facebook and leads. And the general consensus from people dealing with those leads is that they are rubbish. And that is for a multitude of reasons that we cover and break down in the discovery call.
So if the sales director is not present, then they're just going to hear that the marketing director is taking on another Facebook ads agency and they're going to go, oh my goodness. So great. Our team are now going to have to deal with all these Facebook ad leads again. They were already sick of them. Their motivation.
Motivation was down. The conversion rate was awful. You know, what are we doing here? Why are we in this situation again? Whereas if the sales director had been on the call, they would have understood what we do different and at least gone into it with a fresh perspective and actually encourage that of the team as well.
You know, if they are bought in, then they can actually encourage the sales team, the call center, etc. to deal with the leaves properly and not just shift them to the bottom of the list because they've dealt with Facebook ads before and they were rubbish.
