Can we operate on a hybrid or commission only structure with our services? Yes, we can operate on a hybrid structure. We do not do commission only anymore, but a hybrid structure where we do half the retainer and the other half portion is made up of commission. We are open to that, but it comes with very, very strict requirements.
We are going to want to know everything about you. No data on what is your your cool to to quote rate. What is your quote survey rate? What is your survey to deal rate? You know how many salespeople do you have? How long have they been with the company? What is their average close rate? How consistent is that close rate?
Because if we don't know all of those factors, then we're leaving a lot of variables up to chance, and that is our margin if not putting us at a loss on the entire campaign. So while I wouldn't rule it out, I certainly wouldn't count on it. If you're looking to inquire with us. And actually, it always ends up more expensive because we're going to waste it, because we're taking on additional risk in terms of fulfilling, not at a guaranteed profit.
We know that we're going to bake that into the commission rate. Right. So you are going to spend more on that commission fee than you would otherwise on a simple flat retainer. Some people like the peace of mind of that. And they like the idea that we're not profiting if you're not profiting. But I would also say that we're not going to profit if you don't, because you're going to leave.
And we only run 30 day notice contracts, so you're not going to stick around very long. We're not going to make very much money. So for the vast majority of installers, the retainer route does remain the most effective and actually gets you the strongest return on investment.
